I can’t believe that it has already been 4 months! Time goes by so fast, however, with time comes transfers. I am being transferred to the brand new Spanish zone! It covers pretty much the entire mission, and I will stationed in Pocatello. I will have one Spanish branch, and only be teaching in Spanish! It is weird because one day I was praying to understand why I was a spanish speaking elder in my area, where I never use it, literally 25 English lessons a week, zero spanish. The next day I was overcome with a desire to learn it and started studying it A LOT. Then I got transfer calls this week and I will be part in opening up a new zone where we only speak Spanish! I am so excited! I will be with Elder Ramirez. He is apparently a stud, a 6ft tall Hispanic. I’m really excited!
It is bitter sweet to leave Ashton. I really love the people here and feel so blessed to be able to work with them and get to know them. I am really going to miss 511, the local restaurant. It’s free for missionaries and it is sooooooo good. You just have to experience it for yourself. It is too good to describe. 511Main Ashton, ID
The baptism went great, and it is sad that i wont be able to see the others get baptized.
I hope everyone is doing great and has a good week!
PS if you want to send me stuff, just send it to the mission home:
This week has been fantastic. We found 5 new investigators and set 2 more baptismal dates! I am presenting training in district meeting tomorrow, so wish me luck.
I have been studying Spanish so much, because I really have a desire to become fluent. So much that i want to do revolves around becoming fluent, so that is my goal for this year. As well as get yoked ha-ha
I have really seen the Lord prepare people and me out here on my mission. I have had time to reflect back and think about how everything i am doing now will help me later in life. It is incredible!
I really love how in Jesus the Christ, it talks about in ch3 of our necessity for a savior. We are hopeless without him and i am so personally grateful for Christ.
I hope that everyone has a great week, and i appreciate everything that everyone does for me.
Drew’s ice fishing adventure
Elder Peart (from Lexington, VA) and Elder Drew Allen
This week has been fantastic! We got to go ice fishing on Henry’s Lake and it was so cold. My hands have never been so cold in my life! I caught one, and I will send pictures next time.
The work has been great. We find new people to teach it seems like every day! Mike was baptized and it was cool to hear him bear his testimony to everyone after the program. Such a great guy!
I was reading in Preach My Gospel the other day and it was talking about aligning our paths with God’s will. I know that the more that we strive to align ourselves with the celestial beings that God wants us to be, then he will bless us along the way in getting there.
Thanks for the emails and I love and miss all of you!
